Ed Abbey's Cadillac to be Auctioned on eBay

Beginning October 31st, Edward Abbey admirers will
have the opportunity to purchase a piece of literary
history. Ed Abbey's 1975 Eldorado Convertible
Cadillac will be auctioned on eBay, and SUWA will
receive a portion of the proceeds.

The car was Abbey's 60th birthday present to himself
and has a storied history. It is in great mechanical
condition, but could use some cosmetic repairs and a
paint job. It has been garaged since 1995 and only
driven occasionally by a little old environmentalist
going to bars.

Twenty percent of the proceeds will benefit SUWA's
work to protect the Colorado Plateau wild lands that
Abbey loved and defended so fiercely.
